Jake originally hails from Richmond, VA and spent numerous childhood summers in the west; including Montana, California and Wyoming. After graduating from the University of Alabama, Jake followed his passion for fishing and moved to Jackson, where he had already worked at Snake River Angler for several summers. He enjoys guiding the Snake with views of the Tetons, where big cutthroat aggressively hit dry flies. He prides himself on sharing his passion for fishing and the beauty of Jackson Hole with anyone floating in his boat. His saltwater experience is also extensive, with several trips to Belize, the Bahamas, and the Chesapeake Bay. When he can get away for a couple nights he enjoys spending time camping at unnamed locations on the South Fork of the Snake. Jake takes on a double role at Snake River Angler, guiding clients on the water, and taking the lead in the operations of our fly shops.
